Jessica Rimer, Clinical Massage Therapist

Clinical massage creatively combines and applies a range of techniques to assess and manually manipulate the soft tissues of the body. The massage therapist will formulate a treatment strategy based on the client’s preferences, client history, and physical assessment to relieve specific complaints of pain and dysfunction associated with mental and physical stress. The emotional balance of bodywork can often be just as valuable as the more tangible physical benefits making massage a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.

Massage therapy has been studied for several types of pain and stress related issues stemming from any type of overuse/repetitive motions including but not limited to: Low-Back Pain, Neck and Shoulder Pain, and Headaches.

Massage can also be adapted to work with people affected by cancer, auto-immune diseases, and pre/post surgeries. This can include anything from breast cancer to fibromyalgia to knee and hip replacements.

I am highly trained in all of the above and have been working with these areas of focus for several years. My biggest goal with all clients is to help reduce stress within the nervous system so the body and mind can relax while also helping to improve circulation locally, increase range of motion and reduce pain.
