Graduate of Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage. Member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals and the Kinesio Taping Association.

As a Clinical Massage Therapist going on 7 years, I specialize in pain-relief and emotional well-being by reducing physical discomfort in the body due to mental, emotional and physical stressors that are causing chronic or acute pain. Clinical massage creatively combines and applies a range of techniques to assess and manually manipulate the soft tissues of the body. I specialize in Kinetic Cupping, Kinesio Tape, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pre-natal and continue to expand my knowledge base daily through my clients and continuing education. I will formulate a treatment strategy based on the client’s preferences, client history, and physical assessment to relieve specific complaints of pain and dysfunction. My aim is to increase range of motion, enhance movement and flexibility, relax muscle tension, provide stress relief and reduce pain. The emotional balance of bodywork can often be just as valuable as the more tangible physical benefits making massage a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.

The effects of massage therapy are progressive and are best when used as part of an overall strategy to promote wellness. Some of the major benefits of massage include lower blood pressure, reduction in chronic pain, relief to overused/achy muscles, increased range of motion, decrease in scar tissue buildup, improved posture, reduced anxiety, stress reduction and promoting quality sleep and improved productivity. Treatment plans may involve weekly sessions to jump-start your healing process or monthly sessions for preventative maintenance, so you can work towards eliminating the pain cycle. Most importantly I want to help clients develop muscle memory through healthy touch, retraining the brain and muscles to become rebalanced and reactive in healthy, pain-free ways.
