Stephanie Mokey, Counseling Intern

At times all of us need help managing the difficult experiences, uncomfortable emotions, negative thinking, stress, or insecurities that prevent us from living our lives to the fullest. As an intern training to become a licensed professional counselor, I am here to help you do just that. I am a warm and open-minded person who will respect your individuality. Together we will work towards empowering you to make life-enhancing decisions, engage in fulfilling relationships, and weather life’s difficulties.

I have received training in anxiety disorders, depression, and addictions, and have practical experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. I aim to always take a person-centered approach while employing cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques, among others.

I am currently in my final year of the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Johns Hopkins University. I received a bachelor’s degree in Italian from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. I worked as an actress and a legal assistant for 8 years before switching careers to counseling. I am supervised by Michael Searby, LPC.

My fee is $60 per 50-minute session. To schedule an appointment, you can call me on (410) 897-2699 or email me at
