As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my professional services qualify for reimbursement under most insurance plans as an out-of-network provider. However, due to my commitment to confidentiality, I do not participate as an in-network provider with health insurance panels (*I am certified as a TRICARE Mental Health provider) . Depending on your mental health coverage, most plans (Blue Cross, CareFirst, Aetna, Magellan, United, Cigna, and many others) allow you to apply for reimbursement using the billing statement I provide you on a monthly basis.
As a Professional Counselor, I am privileged to be able to share in my clients’ journeys and to help them overcome difficulties in what ways I am capable. Years of practice have showed me that when we are faced with overwhelming struggles we must first acknowledge their existence, and only then can we reach for the help necessary to find achievable solutions. In the safety of a grounded, knowledgeable, encouraging, and insight-oriented counseling experience I believe this is possible.
I believe in the importance of identifying problematic thinking/ behaviors, building awareness, and developing successful behaviors that bring sustainable change. Mental health issues and addiction affect everything in a person’s life: relationships, mind, body, and soul. If you are open to self-exploration you can find answers with help.
My education has a strong foundation in classical philosophy and literature. I am a married father of four children and incorporate this experience into my work with couples, parenting, and adolescence. I also have personal experience with disabilities and so provide a discount when working with clients facing these difficulties.
I have 20+ years’ experience in teaching and business management to complement my experience as a therapist. You can learn more about me at www.kedelen.com.
My fee is $120 per 55 minute session. While I do not take insurance directly, upon request, I will provide a statement of services for your submission for out-of-network claims. You can also charge your sessions to your medical savings account (FSA, HSA) for maximum tax benefit.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we can begin your journey to greater emotional wellness and a happier and more fulfilling life.
